Unfortunately, Quasidea Development LLC was forced to temporarily take down the Fontology site due to a licensing infringement notice that was delivered by "an agent representing the legal interest of The Monotype Corporation, Monotype Imaging, Inc., the parent company of Linotype GmbH, Linotype Corp. and International Typeface Corporation". While we believe the notice to be in error (Quasidea Development does own a valid, legal license for all the Adobe Postscript Type-1 fonts that were used on the Fontology website), the notice contained threats of further actions that would disrupt all of Quasidea's web-based services, including Qcodo.com and hosting services provided for Quasidea's many clients. In order not to disrupt any of other Quasidea's services, we have decided to temporarily remove the site as we seek legal advice from our counsel, and the site will remain unavailable until further notice.
